Loved Despite a Mess.

The book of Hebrews says, God is no respecter of people. One of His promises, "I will guide you. I will turn darkness into light before you and make the rough places smooth. Isaiah 42:16

God's love is so amazing. I woke up from a dream this morning, where a leader and acquaintance that I know mistreated an elderly man. There was an older lady in my dream telling me about him and that yes he was "snotty." I could see he thought he was all that and the cherry on top! I almost felt repellent towards him, but she said, "its okay we are still praying for his heart." Then I was moved by her words and said, "oh pray for my heart and so and so's heart." I felt the comfort of the Lord and as if I was under a refuge of prayer and love. This is the heart of the Lord for his people. The ones that are willing to say, yes Jesus I will follow you. He promises to never leave you nor forsake you even in the midst of you mess or pride. :)

How AWESOME is God, that even in your mess someone else is praying for you!! God hates pride, but yet loves us! We don't even deserve it. However, no one will ever be saved by good deeds or bad ones only by the blood of Jesus and His love for us.

50 and Fabulous!!

I had a blast during my lunch break doing my mom's make up. Even though my nephew Alan wanted to put all of my make up and phone in his mouth I still managed!  My mom is the artist in the family, she can duplicate anything, a real talent as long as it involves painting. I grew up watching  her do her make up, lets say she was my make up inspiration. 

I wanted to do soft tones on her yet a more light in contour areas. Make-up tip: Do not tweeze your eyebrows too much, if you do make your eyebrows  too thin it could make you look older later.

Never forget to be free to feel beautiful at any age.

Mi transformacion de Noviembre 2011 a Julio 2012

     Primero que nada le quiero dar la gloria a Dios, por darme la gracia para perder peso. Estoy agradecida por todo el apoyo de mi entrenadora Veronica Dowdy, y mis amigas que oraron junto conmigo para que Dios me diera gracia para perder peso. Y claro a Teambeachbody por su programas excelentes que te ofrecen educacion alimenticia y te entrenan a estar en buena forma!! 

  El primer retrato es del 15 de Noviembre del 2011 y la segunda foto fue el 23 de Julio de este año en la boda de mi prima. Todavia tengo metas que cumplir, y todavia estoy aprendiendo muchas cosas asi como a empezar de nuevo cuando no me porto muy bien con la comida. Yo medito en las palabras de Tony Horton, "Roma no fue construido en un dia."

  Ser consistente al escojer comida saludable es lo mas dificil para me. Especialmente cuando hay fiesta o como puedes ver, me encanta la comida. Pero ya cuando empiezo a motivarme, comer mejor es mas facil y la verdad la comida es la clave para bajar de peso y estar saludable. No existen las pastillas magicas!!    ¿Asi que yo me animo sola y me digo para que te esfuerzas tanto con el ejercisio si no vas a comer bien?? Verdad!!

     Como dice Tony Horton, creador del program P90x, no vas a ver buenos resultados si no dejas la comida procesada como el pan, harina, los azucares incluyendo el azucar artificial y cortale a los lacteos. 

Come verdadera comida no processada- yo tengo que mejorar en esta area ponerle mas verduras a mi platillo. Yo no creci comiendo verduras a diario, pero esta bien porque ahora estoy aprendiendo. Sin embargo tomo Shakeology a diario y contiene super foods y tiene los nutrientes que necesito y como es de chocolate me ayuda mucho con los antojos..yum!!

Progress Report from Nov. 2011 to July 2012

First of all I want to give God the glory for giving me the grace to lose weight. I am very grateful for all the support from Coach Veronica Dowdy and my friends who prayed for God to give me grace to lose weight and TeamBeachbody for their amazing products that educate you and train your body to be in the great shape.
    I took the first picture Nov. 15, 2011 at a friends baby shower and I had forgotten what I looked like seriously! The second picture was from July 23, 2012 at my cousins wedding. I m still working on goals, learning, getting back up when I do not eat what I should. I tell myself what Tony Horton says, "Rome wasn't built in a day".
     Consistent good food choice for me is the hardest and especially when there's a party or as you can see I love good food!! But once I get motivated it's easier and food is the key to successful weight loss and good health! No magic pills gimmicks! So I tell myself whats the point of exercising hard if I don't eat right??? Right!
Tony Horton, P90x creator said you will see the best results when you cut processed foods, breads, wonder bread, croissant, sugars, artificial sweeteners and cut the dairy.
Eat real unprocessed foods- this is where I need to improve, more veggies on my plate. I didn't grow up with veggies on my plate, but its okay because I m learning! However, I do drink Shakeology daily that is made up of super foods, nutrients and cuts my chocolate craving.Yum!

Getting to the Harbor you Long For

A long time ago I read on a small sailing boat sculpture, which had inscribed something like:" A man that walks with God always knows where he is going." It moved me, I thought it was a great gift. Even though I knew there was more to that phrase then what I was grasping. We all want to follow God and know we are headed on the right track. But sometimes the storm rages and the direction you thought you were going to seems to spin a 180 degrees. Or even though you are skilled you are still longing for the harbor you cant seem to find. I heard this and read this today and I thought of the sailing boat once again.

"Rising up to the sky, sinking down to the depths,  their courage melting away in anguish, they reeled and staggered like drunken men, and all their skill was useless. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He stilled the storm to a murmur, and the waves of the sea were hushed. They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet. Then He guided them to the harbor they longed for. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His faithful love." Psalm 107:26-31
